KRISHNA JAYANTHI & RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

The students of Blue Gems joined their CPS brothers and sisters in the celebrations. Many students of Blue Gems dressed up as Krishna/ Radha and the others came in Traditional wear. We thank the parents for taking pains to dress them up as Krishna / Radha.

ONAM CELEBRATIONS

The school celebrated Onam on 19th August 2010. Children were given flowers and children and teachers in each environment made colorful Pookalam. They had a lot of fun trying to decorate the flowers into the design they had been given. Some even tried their own design like an ice-cream cone, a house and such.

64th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

The school celebrated Independence Day on 13th August 2010. After the flag hoist and the Flag salute, the Principal explained to the children, in short, the history of Independence and the importance of using it wisely. Many students of CPS dressed up as different freedom fighters of our country and spoke about them. They sang a few National songs and walked proudly around with the Indian flag pinned to their uniform.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS

The Orientation programme for parents was held on the 29th July 2010. Parents of students of Level I were invited. Both parents were requested to be present. The programme began at 10.30 am. The Principal welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Rukmani Ramachandran and Mrs.Swathantra Sakthivel were the special speakers of the day. Mrs.Rukmani Ramachandran, Founder – Director, Navdisha Montessori Institute and School, was the Guest speaker of the day. She spoke to the parents at length on the Montessori methodology – how it began with Dr.Maria Montessori and why, how it nurtures a child getting him/her ready for Life. A PowerPoint presentation was shown on the Montessori children at work shot in our school. The Question and Answer Session was very interactive with parents coming up with a lot of queries on various issues relating to their child. Mrs.Rukmani answered most of the queries and Mrs.Swathantra added a few points from her experience.
